My Niece: Mini Crafter

Hi everyone! Just wanted to let you know of a fun challenge that will be taking place May 28th on my FB Page "Creative Diva." My niece and I came up with a Kids Craft Fun Day. Sometimes, its fun to take time and craft with our special little people. I challenge you tomorrow to craft a project, which can be a card, layout, or anything craft related and create it with your child, niece or nephew, or even your neighbor's child. Then, you can post a picture of it and post it on my FB wall page. My niece and I will select the winner on Tuesday, May 29th and win the following giveaway. Just head over and like my FB page if your not a follower already, watch the video and be ready for the challenge tomorrow, May 28th.

Today, my niece and I got to spend the evening in my craft room to create a card and layout. She had so much fun crafting. Here is what she made today.

Since this upcoming week is her last week of school before her Summer vacation gets started, she wanted to make a card for her teacher.
For her sentiment, she used K. Andrews Splashtastic Summer Stamp Set.

Onto her next project! She wanted to make a Rock Princess Layout. I helped her cut out the images and she placed it all together. My niece is ready to craft again during our Kids Craft Day Challenge.

She used the Rock Princess Cartridge for the many image cuts on her layout!

Also, for the paper she used on her card and layout is from the Echo Park Hello Summer Paper pack which can be purchased at Ginger Snap Scraps for a great price. Be sure to click here to check out Ginger Snap Scraps Online Store

I believe she did a fabulous job. She is definitely a great little helper. My niece and I love to craft together. Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you stop by my FB Page: Creative Diva and take on the challenge.

Hey, Barbie!

Hi friends! Yesterday was the last day for all our students at our school. It has been a great year. The kinders showered me with wonderful gifts, but the best gift of all was them telling me thank you for teaching them. I also got the opportunity to Substitute Teach which I was excited to do. Even though Summer has officially started for many of the students and my co-workers, I decided to work Summer School. I will be working with PreSchool Students. Super excited and it will be only for the month of June. So I will at least still be able to enjoy my Summer.

Anywho, I would like to share a quick card I made for a teacher who requested a card. I guess she wanted a fun card for the afternoon Kinder Teacher she worked with. She wanted me to make her a card showcasing a Barbie theme. But, I figured Rock Girl Princess was the closest to a Barbie Girl. Hope you all like it.

I used Black Felt for the girl's dress. Then, I used Stickles to brighten up her hair, clothes, boots, and microphone.

Thanks for visiting! Have a fabulous Day!

Ginger Snap Scraps: Around the House

Hi everyone! Thank you for stopping by today! Super excited to share with you a project today, some of the Ginger Snap Scraps Design Team Members and I will be showcasing a project that illustrates some of the products that can be found in the Ginger Snap Scraps Online Store.

Let's Begin! The Theme for today is called
"" Around the House"

Ever wonder what you can create with things that are laying around the house. It can be a kitchen sponge, egg carton, a pickle jar, or even a cereal box. But one thing for sure is that you can create just anything. For my project, I decided to use a Bread Crumbs Container as I realized after it was empty, I knew it can be turned into something. So I decided to create a cute piggy bank that can be served as a decoration for a baby shower. Hope you like it. As for the products I used for my project were Echo Park Hello Summer Theme Paper and American Crafts Ribbon. If you would like to purchase these items, please visit the Ginger Snap Scraps Online Store.

Piggy Bank Decoration

I took a Bread Crumbs Container and took the Croc-dile and punch a hole on each side. I used some twine to measure each side just to make sure the holes are in the right place.
Then I took two 6x6 sheets of Echo Park Paper and wrapped around the container.
Then I decorated the container with American Crafts Ribbon and some baby embellishments. Then, I cut a slit on the lid for the money to be inserted. Now it is ready to be displayed on tables as a Baby Decoration for a baby shower.

To purchase some of the items I used and other items that you will be interested in.

Materials Used:
Bread Crumbs Container
American Crafts Ribbon
Pink Lace Ribbon
Echo Park "Hello Summer" Paper
Baby Embellishments
