Boo Boo!!! Who might be haunting you?

Happy Sunday everyone! As we get closer to Halloween, the Ghosts and Goblins might just be getting ready to scare or jump right up in front of you and shout "Boo." So here is a fun project I have made a few days ago. Before I describe my project, when I was starting to put this fun project together, it was suppose to be a foam cone covered in gauze, but I didn't have any of that available so I had to turn to plan B. I went through the cabinet to find some non-woven sponges and I figured I can create something fun with it, especially since I had my hot glue gun on and ready to use.

So without further ado, here is what I call my "Mummy-Ghost Stand." I am not sure what else to call it. LOL Either way, it was a perfect Halloween Decoration for the mantle of my Chimney.

Mummy-Ghost Stand
Foam Cone
Non-Woven Sponges
Hot Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
Googly Eyes, Pipe Cleaners, Halloween Rings

First: Gather the materials you need for your creation.
Second: You take 2 Non-Woven Cloth and place it underneath the cone like a diamond. Hot Glue the center of the cone so it sticks to the cloth. Here is a tip: You can place a piece of cardboard underneath the cloth so that it doesn't glue to the table.
Third: Now, you begin by taking a piece of Non-woven Cloth at a time and fold it into a triangle shape. You then take your hot glue gun and add a line of glue on the edge of the cloth, then wrap it around the cone. You continue to do this till you reach about halfway of the cone.

Fourth: Take a pipe cleaner and fold it in half. Cut it in half so that you now have to arms. Insert the pipe cleaner on each side of the cone. Then take a small piece of cloth to create the hands.

Fifth: Take a Non-Woven Cloth and place over the top point of the corner hanging upside down. (Hope that made sense) Then you take a piece of the cloth to drape over the head like a veil.

Last: Hot glue the googly eyes and the Bat rings throughout the body.
Now, you have created a Mummy-Ghost Stand.

There you have it my friends. I hope you like what I have created. Just remember, have fun as you create. Sometimes it might not turn out the way you want it, but I know in the end, it will looks spooktacular.

Now, Im off to the movies in a little bit with my hubby and siblings as we are going to watch Paranormal 3. Let me just say Im not a big fan of scary movies, so for sure I will be screaming and covering my eyes throughout the movie. LOL Now, I have seen Paranormal 1 & 2 at home, so this will be a first for me to see the 3rd one in Movie Theaters. Let's see if I will even be sleeping tonight. LOL

Have a great evening everyone!

El Cucuy Blog Hop

Welcome to "El Cucuy Blog Hop!"

Happy Saturday everyone! Welcome to my blog and to the El Cucuy Blog Hop. If you have come by my good friend Norma, then you are in the right place. If you happen to just stop by, I would love for you to start at the beginning with Celeste

Do you remember when you were little and you were scared of the Boogie Man or thinking there might be a monster inside your closet at night. How about El Cucuy which means Boogie Man. This hop will provide you some spooktacular Projects that have probably scared us or continue to scare us. This hop is hosted by a great blogger friend of mine named Yolie from Just Yolie.

Therefore, I would like to begin to thank Yolie for having me be part of this amazing hop and get the chance to be with some very talented ladies. Now be prepared to be spooked or not. When I started to think about what to scary monster I wanted to create for this hop, I decided to go with one of the scary monsters from Disney which is Oogie Boogie from Nightmare Before Christmas. I really enjoyed creating this project since it was a great addition to decorating the mantle of my chimney. I followed the directions on an article I found on Family.Com to create the Oogie Boogie Monster.

Oogie Boogie Monster
Materials:
Felt: Green (2), Black (1)
Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
Oogie Boogie Template
Black Thread & Needle
Black or Green Pipe Cleaners
Plastic Bugs

 Oogie Boogie Template
First: Trace and cut the Template pieces to the color felt.
Second: Snip eyeholes, mouth, and a 3 inch or smaller slit for
the stomach on one of the pieces of large green felt. Then
take your needle and sew a few stiches above and
below the stomach and also the top of the head.
Third: Flip the stitched body piece over and glue the black
felt patches over the openings in the head and stomach.
Once you flip it over, cut a small slit of the
mouth and stomach to add bugs.
Fourth:  Now make the monster's feet. For each foot, glue together
a pair of felt cutouts, sandwiching a pipe cleaner between them, as shown.
Fifth: Glue the feet pieces atop the unstitched monster body, bending
the pipe cleaner tops to extend the length of the arms, as shown.
Last: Apply a line of glue along the entire perimeter of the body piece,
going right over the ankles. Then set the stitched body piece
on top of it and press down on the edges to stick them together.
Now, you can add any bugs of your choosing inside it's mouth and stomach for fun.

I hope I didn't scare you to much. But, this was definitely a fun project I loved creating.

Cricut 360's Spooky Halloween Blog Hop

Welcome to my blog Creative Diva and Cricut 360’s Spooky Halloween Blog Hop!

The leaves are falling and the air is crisp which means the fun of Halloween is near.

The DT has come up with some amazing spooky projects for this weeks challenge and blog hop.

If you've come from visiting Sonia at Scraps 4 Fun, you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Spooky Halloween Blog  Hop, start HERE.

Make sure to check out each DT member's blog for some awesome inspiration and collect the key words to reveal this weeks challenge.

There will be prizes along the way at some of the DT members' blogs, AND a grand prize, a  Freshly Picked Cricut cartridge. How fun is that?

Just link up your project over at Cricut 360 for a chance to win!

For my project... I created a spooky Halloween Card that will make your skin crawl. I am not a big fun of spiders even if they are harmless spiders. I despise them. LOL I think they are the creepiest thing ever. As I prepare to get the house decorated for Halloween, I will be placing spiders around the home, but fake ones. I remember as a kid, I would go around scaring my mom with a fuzzy spider. I used 3 specific colors to create my card: Orange, Purple, and Green. I also use my new Martha Stewart Spider Border Punch which again, I am still learning how to use. I also purchased Halloween Spider Ribbon from Michaels. Then, I used my Mini Monsters Cartridge to create the spider for my card. For my sentiment stamp, I used Getting Cricky Fall-O-Ween Stamp Set.

Now, as you visit every single DT, you will noticed how our card was incorporated with this fun theme. So it is very important that everyone visit everyone's blog and write down each keyword as you will put it together that will instruct you on what the challenge is for our Cricut360 Blog. I believe this is going to be fun. My key word is: spooky

Now, who would love to win some Blog Candy:

Ribbons and Buttons Blog Hop

Welcome to Ribbons & Buttons Blog Hop!

Hello my faithful followers! I would like to welcome each of you to my blog. Today, we have a fun hop for you that will be filled with fun and creative projects designed to inspire you what you can create with ribbon and buttons. My good blogger friend Julie K from A Little Bit of Bling created a fun hop to promote some amazing Ribbon that she has at her 3 Girl Jam Shop. And let me tell you, they have some amazing colors of ribbon. So what are you waiting for, be sure to check out her shop and see what you like.

Now, if you have come from Gloria, then your in the right place, if not, I would love for you to start from the beginning with our hostest with the mostest: Julie K.

Before I begin to showcase my project for the hop, I would like to thank Julie K. for having me be part of her hop. I truly feel honored to be a guest designer of her blog hop. I truly love the amazing ribbon she has sent me to play with. So without further ado, lets begin.

The first card I created was a card for the month of October since it is Harvest/Halloween Time. She has given me two colors of ribbon: Harvest Orange and Sunflower. I decided to go with Harvest Orange for my card.

Pumpkin Card
Black card stock for card
Martha Stewart Halloween Mat Pad
3 Girl Jam Ribbon: Harvest Orange
Recollection Embellishment: Pumpkins
Recollections Embellishment: Black Creepy Tree

The second project I made is a Christmas Layout because I received two colors that go perfect with this holiday. They were Mistletoe Green Ribbon and Holly Berry Ribbon. I wanted to create a layout that describes when family gather around the decorated tree and open presents. I used the ribbon to decorate the paper as if it were a gift.

Gift Layout
12 x 12 Christmas Light Layout Page
Cut half of 12 x 12 Green Stripe Christmas Paper
3 Girl Jam Ribbon: Mistletoe Green Ribbon and Holly Berry Ribbon
Christmas Present Brad
Christmas Bells Stickers

Wow! I truly love the ribbon that I used for my projects. If you would love to check out the many colors these ribbons come in: Check out 3 Girls Jam Shop.

Halloween Treat Box Blog Hop

Happy Saturday everyone and welcome to my blog. You are in for a treat! Today we have a fun Blog Hop called "Halloween Treat Box Hop." Can you believe we are in the month of October and as we prepare ourselves for the Halloween Season, we have some fun and creative ideas to share with all of you to inspire you to create some fun Halloween Treats for your kids, students, or even those adorable trick or treaters. This hop is hosted by our great friend Sylvia from Bella Scrapbook Designs.

If you have come from Kerri, then you are in the right place. If not, I would love for you to stop by from the beginning with our host: Sylvia .

Now, I would like to begin by thanking Sylvia once again for having me be part of her hop as they are always fun. Therefore, let's begin with what I have created. I wanted to make some fun special treats that I plan to give to my Kindergartners that I work with. I wanted to create something that is easy and fun. For the treats I have made, as you can see they are not placed in a box but in a special treat bag. You can place treats in anything that can hold them such as boxes, bags, or something fun and innovative.

(Martha Stewart Blood Border Punch, Fashion Accessories Clear Bags, Halloween Sentiment Stamp, Halloween Mini Notebooks, Halloween Stickers, Life Savers Gummies)

First, I took a strip of red card stock paper and cut it at 2 x 4 I believe and I used my Martha Stewart Blood Dripping Border Punch. Then I folded it in half and use the border punch. Then, I stamped it with a Halloween Sentiment Stamp.

Second, I purchased a pack of clear bags and I filled each bag with several Halloween Items: Life Saver Gummies, Halloween Mini Notebook, & Halloween Stickers.

Third, I then use my ATG to put adhesive to the inside of the of the Blood Tag. And I attached it to the clear bag.

Lastly, Waa Laa, you got yourself a spooktacular Halloween Treat.
