Happy 50th Birthday Mom!/ The Adventures of Cricut!

 Important Update:
Just received my Shipment Confirmation that my Cricut E2 is being delivered today instead of next week since it's coming from Ontario, California which is only a few miles away. Super excited! I'll keep you guys posted.

Hello my wonderful followers. Today is my beautiful mother's 50th Birthday. May she be blessed with many more wonderful birthdays. My family and I took her out to an early birthday dinner to Olive Garden last weekend. But after I get out of work today, I plan to pick up my mom and take her out for lunch before I have to attend my tonight class. So I wanted to make a fun but beautiful card to celebrate her 50th birthday. I also plan on entering it into fantabulouscricut where we are asked to create something with " MOM's" the word. I know my mom is going to love her card.

Easel Card Recipe:
Dark Pink 5 x 9
Black Card stock: 5 x 9 (then cut less than a 1/2 on each side)
Design Paper: 5 x 9 (then cut less than a 1/2 on each side)
Simply Charmed Cartridge: Cupcake Size 3
Cuttin Up Cartridge: MOM Size 1-1/4
Creative Memories: Paper buttons & Paper Ribbon
50th Birthday Stickers
Flower Buttons
Purple Ribbon
Cuttlebug Embossing folder: Swirls
Recollection: Pink Rhinestones
Sentiment Stamp: Happy Birthday

The cupcake stands on a beautiful decorated table surrounded by presents.
I made everything pop up by adding a strip of purple behind it.

I also want to say thank you to two ladies who I won some fun blog candy from. The first one is Amy from lovetocrop. I won some fun Creative Memories: Paper Buttons and Paper Ribbon and Cricut Ink Cartridges. Thank you Amy. I enjoyed using some of the items I received to create my mom's card. The second person I would like to also thank is Elsa from cricutlvr. I won a cute Cricut Plush. Here are a few pics of Cricut's Adventure in his new home.

Yay! Got the E2!

Hi everyone! I'm super duper excited to have watched the Launch of the Cricut E2 on HSN with Ginger. I purchased the Cricut E2 half hour ago. It will arrive May 6. Sweet, I'm off that day so I will be waiting for the mail man. It is all thanks to my hubby Peter. He is the most wonderful husband of all. Again, I didn't convince him to buy it for me, I was just telling him about it. He said just to order it, so we called and we got it. So this again will be my early birthday present which won't be till June, lol and Christmas present.

Thanks love for my Cricut E2.
You are an amazing hubby
who has to deal with my crafting addiction. LOL

Mother's Day Blog Hop

Welcome to the Mothers Day Blog Hop and my blog! This hop is all about Mother’s Day and a challenge to create anything, but no flowers allowed!

If you have come from Nadia's  blog, you are in the right place. If you stumbled upon my blog and want to play along, you can do so by starting at Giselle’s Blog www.crossmyheartpapercrafts.blogspot.com .This hop is full of talented ladies {and giveaways, too}!

I would like to first start off by saying Thank You to Giselle and Nadia for having me be part of their blog hop again. It's always a pleasure to be able to share another great project with all of you. I also want to say Happy Early Mother's Day to all the beaufitul mothers out there. You are all special in your own way. I am grateful for my mother becuase she has done so much for me and my siblings. She is very special to me. I hope to one day become a mother just like her.

This was definitely a fun challenge to do because it allows you to think outside the box when it comes to not using flowers. As we know, flowers are always so easy to put something together. But, with this challenge, I looked as to what other things could be used to reflect Mother's Day. This is what I created. I hope you enjoy it. Unfortunately, I was not able to have a video at this time.

Recipe:
Mother's Day Explosion Box
Brown Recollections Card Stock 12 x 12
Polka Dot Paper: 4 x 4
Purple Card Stock 3-3/4 x 3-3/4
Pink Stripe Paper 3.5 x 3.5
Michaels Special Value Ribbon- Polka Dots
Brown Ribbon
Butterfly Brads
Butterfly Stamp Image
Sentiment Stamp: Happy Mother's Day
Stickles
  Recollections: Butterfly Adhesives

First Step: Choose your card stock measured at 12 x 12. Then you score each side at 4 inch mark. So you will have a tic tac toe rid. Fold it at score line. Now cut at every corner outside square.  For the Lid, you take the color card stock of your choice it cut it at 7-1/8 x 7-1/8. Then you score it at 1-1/2 in, rotate and do the same for all sides at 1-1/2 inch.
Second Step: For each square: You have the option of decorating however you like. I added a Purple color card stock on each side at 3-3/4 x 3-3/4. Followed by Pink Stripe Paper which is 3.5 x 3.5.

Third Step: I added brown spool ribbon on each side and attached a Butterfly. Then I created a small box wrapped in polka dot ribbon with a sign that says "Happy Mother's Day." Underneath the box, I would add a small gift such as earrings or any type of jewelry and a gift card somewhere inside the Explosion Box.

Now, who would love to win some Blog Candy. I know you do... :)

We are not sure what we want to watch yet, but I would like to watch "Hop" since it looks funny. Then we will end the evening with a nice dinner at Black Angus. Oh what fun. So here is a card that I made for my hubby.

My Pink Stamper Birthday Challenge!

Hello friends! Last Friday, I checked out My Pink Stamper blog as they were having their monthly challenge blog hop. After we visited everyone's blog, we were asked to create anything birthday. I'm glad they selected that theme because I needed to make 2 birthday cards this week. Today, I will be posting one that I made for this challenge and later today I will create another birthday card. Last week, I bought Hello Kitty Cartridge from Custom Crops. I had many requests for Hello Kitty Cards from friends so I somewhat persuaded my husband to buy it for me. LOL Gotta love him. So I got to test out my cartridge today and made a Hello Kitty Birthday Easel Card. This card is going to be given to one of the many great teachers I work with. My good friend Giulia who is a Kindergarten teacher, her daughter Cate turned 5 years old over the weekend. She made Hello Kitty cupcakes because it's her favorite. So I decided to make Cate a cute Hello Kitty card. I know she will love it.

Recipe:
Hello Kitty Cartridge: HK5 size 4.5
Gemstone Pink Card Stock 4 x 8
Pink Pearls
Happy Birthday Stamp
Oval Shape & Scallop Puncher
Pink Color box Ink

This card will be entered in http://www,mypinkstamper.com.

Have a great day everyone! I'll be posting another birthday card later today.

The project that I have made is a layout page. I am currently thinking about what to do on Easter Day to capture those fun memories.

 Recipe:
Light Green Card stock: 12 x 12
Pink Polka Dot Paper: 12 x 12
White Card Stock: 5 x 7 ( I think)
Flower Chipboards
Pink Stickles
Create a Critter- Bunny and Carrot 3.0 (I think! LOL)
Chipboard Letters
Green Colorbox Ink

First Step: Select color card stock for background. Then select designer paper for top layer. Then you cut a 4 x 4 paper piece of. Hope that makes sense.
Second Step: Cut bunny and carrot at 3 inches using Create a Critter Cartridge. Select colors at your choosing. Then I added some stickles to give that effect on the bunny's tummy and googly eyes.
Third Step: For each white card stock: cut at 5 x 7 or the size of your choosing and ink the edges with color box ink. Then I  used Letter Chipboard to create the word "Hop." I added dots on throughout the letters using stickles.
